Some of my rambling theorizing, in which I muse about a couple of sub-genres of Horror I dig, & examine some problems I have, & ideas to solve (some of) them in certain RPG play-styles.
I tried commenting at your blog (twice!) but I must be doing something wrong!
I was thinking that The Location Crafter might be tweakable for this. Make your lists and then roll for a location, who is there, what they are doing, and then what happens (discovery/clue, something creepy, The Killer shows up, etc.). Place The Killer higher in the list if you want things to build a bit or lower with multiple entries for a frenzied bloodbath.
Perhaps add a modifier (in addition to the plus one per scene) to the "what happens" roll based on what the characters are doing; plus one for going to the garage for more beer, plus two for checking the generator or taking a shower, plus three for a romantic interlude, etc.
If you want to be surprised as to who "goes" next, maybe have a "victim" entry and a list to roll on with red shirts having the lower numbered entries, then secondary and primary characters probably surviving longer.

Just some quick brainstorming here.
Cheers!
