Hi, all,
Just wanted to say I'm happy to have stumbled across this group. Thanks for starting it, Sophia Brandt ! Since gaming is such a social event, I went for years never finding anyone else who also solo games, and suddenly here you all are, under one roof. Too cool. Looking forward to discussions here!

Planning on starting my first actual play session of Spies Like Them tomorrow.
Planning on starting my first actual play session of Spies Like Them tomorrow.
Still planning on going with Primetime Adventures for the main story-driver/ task resolution system, backed by Mythic and a bevy of backup inspiration/scrying tools should I need/desire them.
Seen here: Mythic tables, Amazing Story Generator, The Storymatic, Rory's Story Cubes original and Actions cubes, Paizo GameMastery Plot Twist Cards, (not for the D20/rules stuff, though that's cool too) Everway fortune deck (will always love this, may need to laminate or sleeve one day soon...) Deck of Fate for aspects and possibly for rolls, though I won't explicitly be using any Fate system (surely I'll borrow ideas like fractal aspects to full blown characters and one hit/low description mooks though...) RPG Inspiration Cards for similar reasons to the other gaming card tools... And the tower with a standard selection of poly dice just for kicks.
And a moleskine for quickly taking notes on rapid fire situations, dialogue outlines and gameplay.
Ironically not seen here: a standard deck of playing cards, as I'll be going all digital with those. Using a free iOS app called Card Flip. Seems to work pretty well, no ads.
Still need to print out some of the tables/cheat sheets from PTA!
At this point I'm leaning toward using a wiki for the eventual conversion into straight fiction while linking chapters of fiction to mechanical/sketchy fiction notes. Thanks to the folks who tipped me in that direction, it really does make more sense than simply blogging. I may still blog my session notes, but the resultant fiction will be much more rich (not to mention navigable!) in wiki format. If it actually ends up being worth the effort it would also likely be easier to convert to epub or kindle format, or likewise for any similar future project that derives process from this experiment.

Description from Mythic group:
I would like to share with you the Google Documents add-on that I created. It is called "Solo Roleplay Tools".
It is based on some of the tools found in the files section of the group but instead it adds the answers directly into the document. You can use it either for writing out your solo roleplay, writing help or for use during your brainstorming or session prep.

Okay, here's the link to what I'm now just calling the Wanderer System. I got creatively sidetracked and am now applying the system to a setting that's reminiscent of Dragonball Z. This document isn't complete, but it has everything you need to run combats and explore a lot of the game.

Definitely gonna use Mythic/Rory's/various other divination-inspiration/RPG tools in the near future. If I wanna post stories generated with these tools (as narrative rather than play by play with mechanics on display)...

Is there a good place to post these things semi regular in G+? I imagine I'll just post several comments in a single thread as I expand a story. Can you lock down comments from others but still comment yourself on your own post?
I would just blog it but I really feel leveraging the community here (any community, not necessarily Lone Wolf) or someplace similar would be very informative to me as a writer, as well as just getting it in front if more people.
Thanks for any advice. It is appreciated.

I am working on a dungeon generator based on the random tables in OSRIC and the DMG. You decide what type of area you need and it creates it. Bust out your graph paper, because you will need it.

It's a work in progress with error codes, bugs, and notes left in. It logs out pretty quickly to preserve server time. Just hit refresh on your browser.
Ovy Ortega 's post inspired this.
Edit on 11 March 2015: I changed the name and the link.

I've just released a new method that helps create E.P.I.C. solo campaigns.

Methodology: What the hell am I doing?

More shameless self-promotion - Post 7 in "Solo Role-Playing Series" has gone up. This one is just an example of play that includes oracles (tarot, icon dice, etc., as opposed to systems with finite, concrete results of a yes/no roll or a random table.)

I doubt it's anything anyone here hasn't already thought of - remember I'm aiming for beginners who want to do play solo but are looking for a "how to" they can follow as a guide. A benchmark, even a low one, can be useful when getting started.
Hopefully, I've demonstrated the use of the oracle well. If you feel otherwise please let me know! The last thing I want is to be too vague as to what I'm doing.
I welcome feedback so i can improve the post, clarify my statements, which i sometimes get garbled between my brain and my fingertips, or follow up with ideas in a future post.

I just finished Reading Elsuisve Ledgends, and my initial feeling is that this volume contains advice that can be adapted to solo Role playing quite successfully. I'm planning to incorporate it in an upcoming solo fate run. At this stage I'm not sure weather the dice are going to determine the actions of the character or the world.

A long time ago, Im talking at least decade ago, there was a dungeon generator that constructed the dungeon progessively. It even through monsters at you and doors, like a tabletop rogue-like if I dare say.
