Playing a module, even with SH, is always something a bit odd, though can be fun in its own way. Maybe next try using some the random generators and Oracles and see what happens? I REALLY LIKE the SH Urban Adventure rules.
I will give it a try. It does look like a fair amount of rules to read.
I would recommend giving him some hirelings. NPCs which can be given orders and perhaps perform field medicine.
