I'm going to start logging my Scarlet Heroes campaign.
I'm going to start logging my Scarlet Heroes campaign. This post just rambles about how and why Scarlet Heroes. First actual play post will be later tonight.
So... I wanted to post this link here again because it looks like a lot of people read this post but nearly no one read the follow up. Maybe I'm wrong and maybe it just ended up not being interesting but I dunno. Comments on how it could be more fun to read would be awesome. I'm new at this.
EDIT *by "this post" I mean the one I am currently commenting on. Not the one I linked to.
For what it's worth, I enjoyed reading your AP log! :)
I'm a big fan of dice rolls, not sure everyone likes them but I do. I like seeing what numbers or random prompts or SH result led a specific interpretation, you know?
Yeah I've been drafting a different way of logging everything. I'm so used to doing it all at the table on paper but for that post (and the second one I haven't posted yet) I did in front of the computer ad I was writing it. As a result everything took longer and I didn't think it was all that interesting.
Ha, I'm all about writing down everything no matter how random or trivial. But you should do what makes you happy/facilitates your play, you know? Otherwise it's too easy to get bogged down.
Jokes on you, I read it :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks, looking forward to it. So no other random tables (D30 Sandbox Companion etc.)?
ReplyDeleteAs the campaign goes on I imagine I will put together a number of random tables to keep things interesting :) Any suggestions are certainly welcome.
ReplyDeleteNice, a fellow Minnesotan
ReplyDeleteMike Overbo ahh, what gave it away? haha
ReplyDeleteFort Snelling
ReplyDeleteAhh, duh. It was late when I wrote that. Haha. Where in Minnesota you from?
ReplyDeleteI reside in St Paul
ReplyDeleteAh, Mankato here.

I generally agree with Alto Dizi
ReplyDeleteDont have to have every dice roll but if its something dramatic, its nice to have it mentioned.

ReplyDeleteThe thing is, I usually write down EVERYTHING... up until I found g+ I had never read a solo AP so I have no idea what is too much.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I'll do a new one tonight and see what happens. I've been itching to play anyway. Just enough dming, not nearly enough playing.
