I'm looking for a specific sort of beast, and I'm not sure one exists. I know Ewen Clooney is supposed to be making one, and I've checked Sophia Brandt 's excellent list.

I'm looking for a Madlibs style game. A journal keeping game of sorts. I've been fascinated with the idea lately. Does anyone know of such a thing, or should I get to hacking?

    Well, what about hacking up a solo 'game' of Channel A or Cards Against Humanity?

    The only Madlib style mechanic I know of is the Aladdin technique where you write a sentence, underline a few words, and then change those words randomly.

    Be interested to see what you find or come up with though.

    More searching shows I'm gonna have to get to work. Something akin to CaH might be the way to go, but I'm gonna try a few things first. Tobie Abad 's Cat's Dream will be a good base.

    De Profundis is very close to what you're seeking. It's a cooperative journal writing game, with a section of tips for running solo.
