  1. Thank you! Hope you give Trollbabe a shot. I stuck to the core mechanic which is kind of simple once you get used to it.

  2. I love Trollbabe. Simple, elegant, punchy. I like how it is simultaneously quick to play and forces you to make a simple, revealing, and surprisingly difficult choice every time you roll. It's one of those games that has something to say about the player as well as the character, but it's very subtle about it. I discovered that I'm really unlikely to stop pushing my luck when I really want to win, for example.

From what I understand, most if not all of the "slider" (roll under a number, roll over a number, roll inclusive) games (including my own) are ultimately inspired by Trollbabe. In fact, onesevendesigns has a Trollbabe-derived full game, Stranger Things. It's not complete (mostly missing Relationships), but it's well worth the read and it's really what I'm playing when I say "Trollbabe".

Thanks so much for the heads' up about Daytrippers! I have "make a Sliders variant" on my todo list.

Lots of other good stuff here -- I'm excited for Spire RPG and going to check out the tools you mentioned!
