I've actually moved away from the yes/no/and/but. I've had good experiences with it, it's very satisfactory as a "standard", but lately I'm finding an AW-style "yes, and/yes, but/no, and" is plenty.
ReplyDeleteI'm also really fond of "yes, something happens/no, something happens" . For example, you roll 2d6; the first one tells you polarity (3-, No, 4+, Yes) and the second tells you something that happens and whether it's good or bad for you.
I'd really like to try a full 6 different qualifiers system (like Writer's Dice) but I haven't gotten around to it!
