when your roll fails, something bad usually happens. before you roll, do you list out potential fallout or do you only think about it after a roll?

    Another "depends". Figuring out what happens after a roll feels more traditional to me, but I like some indie games that set the stakes beforehand.

    For oracle heavy solo gaming, it feels natural to set the stakes beforehand, since I'm always declaring what might happen beforehand.
