i'm just happy that someone else besides me uses it. :D
ReplyDeleteI open it occasionally then feel like I need tables and leave it again!
ReplyDeleteIs there any chance of implementing the FU dice into it? I use those instead of Mythic, and a 1 in 10 chance of a random event.
Don't worry if not, I know programming can be a long and thankless task.
I'm currently building my resolve to set deadlines on things which should make more gaming a possibility.
I don't know what FU dice is. If it's fudge/fate dice, the dice parser already supports that. If it's not fudge dice, let me know what it is and I'll look in to it. :D
ReplyDeleteCool, it's sometimes referred to as Spacejackers Solo System.
ReplyDeleteBasically, it's the
Yes, and
Yes
Yes, but
No, but
No
No, and
results mapped to d6, with more and less d6 rolled depending on bonuses/penalties/probabilities taking the highest or lowest as fits the situation.
So a very likely result might be 2 bonus dice reading highest. An unlikely could be 1 penalty die reading lowest.
You always roll one die too, so 1 bonus is #2d6h1.
I mix this with Mythic, replacing the now impossible random event generation with a 1 in 10 chance of one.
I'm probably the only person in the world that uses this system, so don't sweat over it!
I'm working on adding so1um and Tiny Universal, which means I'm adding d6 or 2d6 yes/no with advantage and disadvantage, that maps pretty cleanly to so1um... so something like it is already in the works, probably released in the next 2 weeks. :D
ReplyDeletealso Steven Lincoln, if you can point me to a blog post, url where it can be bought, or something where it's detailed, i'll add it in. i don't add anything in if I can't credit someone :D
ReplyDeleteI think it goes back to a blog post by tiny solitary soldiers. tinysolitarysoldiers.blogspot.nl - Solo RPG?!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sophia Brandt! I don't mind taking requests -- if it's a modified version of TSS you want, I can probably add it in an upcoming version.
ReplyDeleteWell, the TSS system is very popular because it is simple and easy. matt jackson's so1um and my Tiny Universal is based on it.
ReplyDeleteGreat minds think alike, so Steven Lincoln came up with almost the same system. All based on FU by Nathan Russell. So kudos to him to create such a cool system.
There is a site dedicated to FU news and tweaks and stuff at freeformuniversal.com - Dice and System Matters
ReplyDeleteok, Sophia Brandt and Nathan Russell, FU has been added to my list of engines to add. If it's simple, you might see it in a couple of weeks or less, since I can usually add simple ones in an hour or two. If it's complex, it might take a while.
