So it's been forever since I solo RP'd, but Follow seems like it could be pretty easily hacked for solo, or even more easily for 2p games. I'm particularly interested in using zero-prep, lightweight, single-session games like Follow/Kingdom/Fiasco/OLBH/Downfall for 1-2p play, even extended across multiple sessions with different quests/kingdoms/fiascos/etc forming larger worlds, which could also be played with varying play groups as well as casts (potentially utilizing Microscope would be a great way to fractalize it all together, too)

Who all does this sort of thing, and do you have any particular tips or tools for tracking all of it in one place, across these [admittedly, again, quite lightweight, to the point I'm over thinking all this] systems? I'm thinking using Mythic character/thread lists could be a great source of additional synergy, of course.

Mostly pipedreams like everything else in my life, but whatever I'm shouting into the void here.

I'm cross posting this to the Follow g+ community as well, forgive the duplication.

  1. Following because I like the idea of playing casts and groups in the same world. I'm not familiar with Follow, but I want to play Kingdom or Downfall solo.

  2. Chris Stieha Follow is Ben Robbins' latest (that I'm aware). It brings some Fiasco/Dungeon World-like PC interconnections to a Microscope/Fiasco-like scene roleplay and tacks on some scope-limiting elements like 3 challenges with one main character focused scene per player (the last hallenge decides the fate of the fellowship/quest) and declaring consequences for other characters if a player narrates his main character's actions as overly easy peasy.

I'm digging what I've read so far. Especially having secondary/unrelated minor characters for each player, it gives you a lot to work with out of the gate.

  3. Yeah, I usually track my adventures with Mythic's adventure chart. Even if I'm not using any aspect of Mythic. It is just great for structure.

I think writing and posting actual plays or concepts is cathartic.
