I just picked up World vs. Hero--anyone have any advice or APs of using this Solo?

  1. There was a big lavishly put together book someone did of a solo campaign (complete with artwork). I can't find it now...

  2. World vs Hero is awesome, especially if you're a fan of narrative or "authorial stance" solo play (which I think you are, based on your Vampire stuff). That link up there for the Bridgeways AP is mine, and I'll be happy to share my experience making it when I have a bit more time to put my thoughts together.

It does use the solo rules linked by John Fiore, with a few tweaks to the central impact mechanic to cut down on the number of Extreme Impact scenes brought to bear by the World Player. I was also playing around with a system of disadvantages and Impact Tokens. Those systems are getting more fleshed out in my next AP, which is in works now. Most of the details of what I used are in Appendix 1 of the book.

  3. Karl Hendricks Thanks! I've downloaded your Bridgeway AP, and am going through it now. Would love to hear more about how you came up with things, and why you made the decisions you did.

  4. Another AP: Shadowvixen: Man on the Run

This is a solo AP by Jeff Pierce. It's a very well-written 1915-era super hero adventure. I referenced this heavily when I was learning WvH and how to play solo. I can't find a copy online, but I saved a copy from the web archives.

  5. Another AP: The Someone Gem

It isn't solo, but it is an AP by the man himself John Fiore with Marcelo Paschoalin. Another great read and a good reference for the rules in a normal two-player game.

  6. Another AP: The Ithrian Gambit

This is a sci-fi AP I'm working on with a friend. It's not solo, but I'm still using Mythic as the World Player to add uncertainty to the Conflict Lists. We're just getting started (not even finished with Round 1), but you can still look at the setup info. I'll probably share it in a post of its own once we get a few rounds finished.
