Ok, so. I'm branching out to some different systems. I'm still playing my Rewind game, but now I'm sampling a bunch of others. But now I'm looking for more advice!

RISUS looks really cool. Anyone do a RISUS-based AP? Has it really been out that long?

What about d10RPG?

EDIT:
Also, what about Karl Hendricks One Page Solo Engine? The more I reread it, the more impressed I become with it. Though I need to come up with a wandering encounter list...

  1. Risus was first released in 1993. I don't recall any solo APs. But then, given its age, it might have missed a lot of the social media. [And I missed most of the hey-day of the Forge.]

  4. A study in Scarlett is my fav example, the second best is Risus Lankhmar but RisusMoney blog is dead.
a third example: enworld.org - Mythic GM Emulator & Risus (First Time For Both)

  5. It would be awesome if you could give the One Page Solo Engine a try. It's still on my list of things to play as well, haha.

  6. Karl Hendricks I'm thinking, because I'm a sadist, of grabbing a pretty rules light RPG and coming up with a starting situation. Then, play through a session with different GME. So, say, "character wakes up in a hotel bathroom, with no memory of how he got there. A dead woman lies in the backtub." Then, use the emulators from there and see what happens. Right now I have:

    Mythic
    ALONe
    OPSE
    CRGE

Anything else I should check out?

  7. Todd Rokely That's a really cool idea. I'd like to see how the different systems are in use. I'm sure the scenario will turn out quite differently just based on the oracle results.

  8. Todd Rokely This is a great idea, and I am tempted to steal it, or perhaps repurpose it in a fantasy context. I need practice coming up with starts which aren't overly restrictive.
