Linos post about Engles Matrix Games made me think about running a DCC funnel. You start with 10-15 dudes, not generally combat trained.
I wondered if I broke them into units, three fives or five threes, if I can resolve combat like a wargame.
I don't want to have to narrate each character.
I'll publish soon an actual play with a light rule funnel adventure that I played a month ago :)
ReplyDeleteYou could probably do an opposed roll between each"mob" and the monster.
ReplyDeleteThey win, they overcome the monster (or scare it off more like).
They lose, one of the mob dies and they have to retreat.
I can decide to just use dice, or I can use pros and cons. Im gonna try to run Sailors on a starless sea

I ran a solo DCC funnel. It was a lot of fun and the survivors have had a few adventures after as well. When I get back to them I'm using material from Hubris and Journey to the Center of Aereth. Love DCC!
