I guess it's time for a new MUNE, because... I have no idea where this joke was going.
Point is, MUNE's gotten a bit of an update on a pretty important aspect; subverting expectations. And because you lot are jolly into the whole solo thing, you get to be the first ones to complain about how badly it's made! What fun!
The Homebrewery document has been updated with the new stuff, but I added a little extra about playing solo on my blog, which is linked below. Yes, this is a shameless plug. Yes, I am truly sorry. Maybe.

No probs mate, looking forward to seeing how things went down!
ReplyDeleteGood stuff! I do have one tangential question, do you have stats/info for that mini-fig party? They look like they would be a hoot to play. :-)
ReplyDeleteThey're pretty fantastic fun. From left to right:

-Duke Ikeer, an Aarakocra holy warrior (Forge Cleric/ Battlemaster). I played him as a "bitter veteran" sort, as although he strongly supported his princess and plane, he was given consistently bad breaks by the military he served in. Ike was the first being from Empai Tirkosu to make contact with people from the modern world. It didn't go well; He broke into the UN building and threatened them with otherworldly obliteration.
-Vanella Thane, an arcane mechanic (highly reflavoured Conjuration Wizard). I created her as a plucky deadpan snarker, but the campaign events turned her into the most epic Hyperrealistic Synthetic Human to ever fight her "mother" and an army of squid aliens for the fate of the island. The journey I had with this character was insane, I can't even begin to summarise it. She occasionally breaks the 4th wall to complain to me about all the craziness in her life.
-Callie Longstrider, huntress extraordinaire. Literally a Hunter, Callie formed one half of the Danger Duo; so named because there wasn't a single session they were in that didn't involve death saving throws. Playing with her and dragonborn Kilmorn was like watching an indiana jones movie, it was so calamitously action-packed. She married a clone of Kilmorn (just... go with it) and they started a long line of adventurers that are still braving crazy odds today.
-Elo. Short for Eloquent, because he was the first Warforged capable of speech. Ironically he's not very eloquent at all, sounding kinda like C3PO talking in 3rd-person-barbarian. Elo is basically like a brother to Thane; and he might well be, as I don't know who any of the warforged were before they were murdered and remade as metal men. Thanks to his primitive brain model, he doesn't quite understand things like humour and sadness, leading to his catchphrase; "Elo does not understand the concept of [X]".
Been playing these guys for nearly two years now (1 year for Ike), and Thane recently hit level 23 using the Epic Characters expansion on the DMs Guild. I just love solo play so goshdarn much...
