So I'm trying to learn more about the website Roll20, how easy it it to play a solo game one there? Also how is it to learn and then teach someone that knows nothing about it or games that wants to get into it? I want to learn it to play games on it solo because I heard it makes games super simple from just paper and pen. My Brother wants to get into games and I want to teach him as well but he lives in another state. Then maybe we can both play the same game without a GM. Has anyone done this before?

Roll20 has its place for solo, you can display maps and tokens, annotate it, etc. You can store character sheets and have die macros to make playing easier. You can also add custom decks and other elements. And, its very portable and tamper proof, handy if you are playing on your lunch break or if you have critters that like to mess with your set-up. (Cats and toddlers are notorious for this.)

ReplyDeleteI've had the same question for a while now Mike, thanks for asking. I've been looking for something better than the numerous half-filled notebooks and scraps of paper, and character sheets.
