I made a character for Shatter6 by Scott Malthouse, going to try a bit of solo play with it to see how it goes! My initial concern is that she's a little "low-tech" compared to the Epic heroes I've seen produced so far, but I think it'll all work out okay.

The Morewells ruled the Duchy of Gaelon for hundreds of years. That ended when Alara was a young girl. A coup by one of her father's vassals left her family dead, her retainers scatterd, and her holdings in the hands of the enemy. One of her father's knights, Sir Lionel, spirited her away from the burning keep and kept her safe from the assassins that still pursue the last living Morewell. He taught her how to wear armor and wield a sword, he taught her how to command loyalty and respect.

Last night, the assassins came again and Sir Lionel died trying to protect her. In a rage she took up the old knight's sword and cut them down. Now she is striking out on her own to render judgement on the Lord that caused her family so much grief.

  1. Cool! Post your game when you're done. I've found that the difficulties make for frequent success...plus "even in failure there is a modicum of success" helps to create really tough characters.

  2. She'd fit in nicely in Ironsworn if she was more photographic!

I played a scene to feel it out. Used all my shatterdice, but came out ahead
