Not really solo related, but there's a few Ennie nominees in the sale. I might check out The Dark of Hot Springs Island... sounds to be full of sandbox elements that might be useful for solo.
If you're happy with procedurally generated horror-noir investigations and self-promo, my EXUVIAE allows you to unearth an insect-cult conspiracy from no preparation. The playing cards both serve as sutble oracle and investigation structure. Without a GM, you'd have to improvise complications and threats when they arrive, but a lot of that is extrapolated from your connections when generating characters.
Any suggestion of things useful for solo play, Thredith Undomiel? Or anyone for that matter?
