Where is a good place to look for a variety of miniatures for board games? Or maybe some good ideas to play board games solo with them as well. I love board games and I can only play them solo because of work and no free time. Looking for ideas.

  1. 15mm figures can be attached to pennies for...well....a cost of a penny per figure :-).

For fantasy games, there's literally thousands of historical figures to draw from for knights, soldiers etc.

  2. I second Pathfinder Pawns. You can't beat the value for money and they are beautifully illustrated. I would not bother printing and glueing yourself. Ragarding your question about playing board games solo the site boardgamegeek.com has tons of homemade solo variants for popular boardgames. Look in the forum section of the game entry, usually under variants or files. Good stuff there.

  3. Hey! I realize this is a week old or so, but I didn't see this mentioned. If you happen to live near a toys r us, they are going out of business, and they have "Magic: The Gathering – Arena of the Planeswalkers " for like $9. It comes with quite a few decent quality miniatures. Paintable too! Definitely worth $9
