People, I decided to take advantage of the fact that we are in the Soccer World Cup year and create the "World Cup RPG", a solo soccer game RPG.
The goal is to make each Group Cup match using RPG Rules, and in the end finding out who will be the great Champion ... before the cup begins! Kkkkk
I know some technical terms related to soccer are not correct - my English related to sports is lousy - but there are only 2 pages of rules, and the rules are very simple, so you can turn around ...
It is just to have fun; I usually do not follow these things-soccer-stuffs, and I always get lost when people start talking to me about it.

  1. Thanks for the amusement. A historic 2-1 victory for Senegal over Japan in the final was the somewhat improbable result of my rolls! I like your core mechanic. The system seems to work well. I was wondering whether to run it again applying some weighting like more turns for teams that have a better world cup ranking in order to get a less random outcome. Had you thought of doing anything similar?

  2. Bruce Curd Thank you! I have thought about, and I found the same kind of "solution" you described: The best ranking teams have 2 or 3 extra turns to try the goal (you can decide if it will be 2, or 3, according to your analysis of the rank...).
Other mechanic I am using is to give a Bonus of +2 to all the "Pass rolls" when the team has a very famous player, Like Neymar, Cristiano Ronaldo, Messi...

And, last but not least, I'm taking the participation of the crowd into consideration. In each match, the team with the highest number of fans receives a +1 bonus on all rolls of the die.
