In honour of Friday the 13th, I have started a series of experiments with horror games.

The first experiment uses Silent Legions, and is an attempt to see how the random Adventure Templates can be used to create a solo horror adventure as you play.

  1. Todd Rokely It's really packed with useful stuff. I'vew barely scratched the surface with it.

Tam H Sometimes random table results just click.

Madcat Angrymog That's the title I should have used! I haven't touched the Mythos creation yet. My idea was to use it a bit at a time rolling on one table at a time as the PCs discover each piece of information.

  2. Yeah. I think it’s because I’ve never read it—I’ve used the tables for random cults and the like, but never sat down and read it front to back. I think I just missed all the good Solo stuff!

  3. Todd Rokely, it's not specifically intended for solo play, but it is easily adapted to it.
