I just came across this solo engine. I don't believe I have any familiarity with the 7th Sea rpg. So I can't comment on this game. http://www.rpgnow.com/product/239218/Solo-Engine-for-7th-Sea-Role-Playing-Game?src=also_purchased

  1. joshua oconnor Thank you! If I remember correctly, the combat system is freely available. I think I downloaded and read through it, but I never actually tried it. I would be interested in reading a detailed play sample / AAR (solo or not). I will have to search for something informative enough and maybe give it a try sometimes.

  3. joshua oconnor Sorry, I was referring to Showdown / SavageWords. I just downloaded it again and I will re-read it.

I tried Sellswords and Spellslingers and posted an AAR here on LoneWolf: plus.google.com - An AAR and quick review of the solo / cooperative miniature rules Sellswords ... The game is good, but designing scenarios is not as easy as the neat cost-system in SOBH. The cards are simple and well thought: I liked the system. It could be interesting to use it "as is" for a purely treasure-hunting campaign.
