So, I'm using Conjectural GM Emulator in my ongoing Solo Play and had an unexpected occurrence happen. Rolled on the table and got 18, which is labeled Reserved/Reroll. I figured rather than rerolling this time, I would try and come up with some Star Wars appropriate unexpected things.
18. Shadows of the Past.
19. Imperial Entanglements.
20. The Force.
These are just rough ideas, does anyone here have any suggestions for other things to slot in 18-20 on my unexpected table?
Heh, everything I can come up with will fit into one of those three categories. :-D
ReplyDeleteGoblins Henchman, lol. The idea is to keep the story moving, not have it end super abruptly over something random. ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat sort of ideas fit into each of the categories, Todd Zircher?
ReplyDeleteThe Hutt, Vader, and Jedi where the first things to pop into my mind. And they neat fit into the past, empire, and force categories.
ReplyDeleteLoL
ReplyDeleteWell, I was hoping for something that was a little more general. Since I rolled an 18, I need to figure out if it's a part of the main character's past that shows up, perhaps a member of his crew, or a passenger on the ship.
It's a Gamemaster Emulator similar to Mythic. You ask the "GM" a series of yes or no questions to help paint the scene, while rolling a D100 to find out the response. With Conjecture, exceptionally high or low rolls have "And Unexpectedly" added to either yes or no. When that happens, you roll a D20 to figure out the unexpected happening.
ReplyDelete1. Foreshadowing
2. Tying Off
3. to conflict.
4. costume change.
5. Key grip.
6. to knowledge.
7. framing.
8. set change.
9. upstaged.
10. pattern change.
11. limelit
12. entering the red.
13. to endings.
14. montage.
15. enter stage left.
16. cross-stitch.
17. six degrees.
18-20. re-roll/reserved.
I was trying to come up with some Star Wars appropriate things for my current solo game. So, up above I was spit-balling what to replace 18-20 with. Although, now that you mentioned it, it's not a Force-centric game, so I might change 20 to be weapon/equipment malfunction, since that would be more appropriate.
Anyway, if you want, you can find a copy of the Game Master Emulator here for PWYW: drivethrurpg.com - CRGE, Conjectural Roleplaying GM Emulator
