I've posted the first official session in my Swords and Wizardry/LL solo game. I'm aiming for it to be a multi-character dungeon crawl, but this first session ended up building a little more of a back story and setting up the main PC more than I thought. Hopefully he doesn't die right away :-/

Looking forward to getting into the dungeon this weekend!

  1. Lunar Gin LOL, yes, not a good portable solution. Definitely only used for a home game; I just use the Adventuresmith App for events when out of the house.

  2. Spencer Salyer Hi Spencer, if you mean "meaning" in the traditional cartomancy sense, no, I'm not using them that way. I just have the set so that I can get descriptive images as a quick oracle for solo roleplaying. The cards don't always match the situation literally though, so sometimes other meanings ("travel/a voyage" for a guy on a boat, etc.) have to be inferred.

  3. That's part of the fun and 'art' of using cards as a source. For those that are not fond of tarot, Dixit and Mysterium cards are also good ones to try. The Osho Zen deck is also a great set to use for inspiration. I'm using the Cosmic tarot deck for my Amber game because of it modern style and use of Prince and Princess instead of Knight and Page.
