I recently got back into solo/GM less RPG action. I’ve been running a D&D 5e adventure using Mythic. Recently I ordered Basic Fantasy Role Playing Game. Does anyone have any experience with that material? It was only a couple dollars so even if it doesn’t work out, no big deal. Along the same lines as the first question, my 8 year old has expressed interest in doing a DM less campaign with me. I told him he could develop the world and we would play in it. Well, he decided he wants us to be military men fighting bad guys in Mexico. Oh, and there are werewolves and giant machine guns. What system would accommodate that?๐Ÿ˜‚

  1. Steven Kornegay maybe we should collaborate on something soon. My copy should be here by this weekend.

  2. Beyond the Wall has old school feel like BFRPG (and has been mostly compatible with it), with the addition of character "playbooks" that accomplish detailed character creation through a series of tables and each playbook is like a whole class in itself. flatlandgames.com - Beyond the Wall and Other Adventures, a zero-prep OSR roleplaying game you can play in an afternoon

  3. To my mind, Savage Worlds is the best universal RPG system - it can accommodate pretty much anything you can throw at it, and there is a lot of support for all kinds of genres. And, the book is only $10.00, which will get you the paperback and the PDF.
