Just a quick impression of my late night solo rpg setup. Started my first session of Adventure 2 in my D6 Star Wars game. The cloth in the dice tray is there to reduce the noise of the rolling dice. For this session I am documenting the old fashion way, which is ink on paper. I might make a podcast later.

  1. John Fiore Carsten Rossner This is awesome, I absolutely connect with the cloth... those dice are louder than they seem, aren't they? I use the carpet, a large gaming mouse pad or, occasionally, one of the kids' placemats. Depends on where I'm playing at the moment.

And I have to agree with Ivan Sorensen - pen and paper really does feel great. All of my FFG Star Wars has been pen and paper, while the Tolkien campaign I just started has been digital. Typing just isn't quite as satisfying, and I find pen and paper gaming late in the evening is almost like turning off the screens and sitting down with physical book.

  2. Ryan B Regarding pen and paper: I totally agree. I sit in front of a computer screen all day in the office. It is very relaxing to get the paper out.
