I find that this style of writing it down also helps me read others' reports with more interest. Makes it zip by fast as it's like reading an example of play in an RPG book.
It's a new writing style for me and I'm enjoying it. While it is still all solo, it has more 'banter' to it compared to a more narrative structure. There's also a more meta level to it. Such as the last bit where Lee and the GM talk about world building. In some ways, I do intend this to be more of an example play since I'm reaching out to the Amber community as well which is not normally in the solo gaming realm (but does the one on one gaming thing quite often.)
So, while it may not spark a wave of solo gaming there, I'm hoping that Four Houses in Amber will encourage more traditional GMs that are sitting on the fence to give it a try. It gives them a card up their sleeve (so to speak) when the players head off script. :-)
I created one called (surprise) Four Houses in Amber, it's a tarot based engine. You can find it on the front page of my home page at tangent-zero.com - Tangent Zero . It's a freebie, so feel free to grab and check it out.
