I’ve just spent a very nice couple of hours wandering around the Fabled Lands, a gamebook series with an astonishing amount of freedom. I am not usually a fan of the genre, because I feel a little limited by the choices the author allows, but this time they really seem to have done a good job at making it feel sandbox like. I thought this might be of interest to the group here.

I didn't realize that they were available online.
ReplyDeleteI have one of the books and got beat up in an alley. I am really intrigued by the ability to explore different lands by moving across books. Definitely plan on getting more!
Yeah, my current character is still in book one, but seems to be doing reasonably well for himself. There is a plan for at least a seventh book, crowd funded a couple of years ago.
