Here's the single-page Four Against Darkness game board I whipped up. It's got the recommended 20x28 grid, 4 character sheets, and an empty "table" for logging your encounters, etc. Let me know what you think about it, any changes you would make, or if any of it isn't self-explanatory (the "poison bottle" line on the character sheet was intended for status / ailments like "turned to stone" or "dead"). Here's the link:

  1. Here's my current game in progress. Things are going swimmingly compared to the last one!
Wesley Camp, I forgot to tag you in the post, but this is the sheet you asked about in the other thread!

  2. Spencer Salyer ty for this share. I love it but will admit I add a grid of 30 by 40 for a bit bigger map. So i can have a quick nap and a longer play map.

  3. I see what you did there! Yeah, I was curious if folks used larger grids or not, but I went with what the rules recommend.

I could probably make some variants with larger grids, but this will shrink the grid squares down, obviously. I can decrease the page margin of. 5", but then risk printing issues for some people, or perhaps rearrange things differently. In any case, let me know what you think!

  4. Spencer Salyer it is really up to how people use it. So I would suggest two variants for options. May I suggest an encounter counter to capture the number of minions fought. Also I use a color die for each char and wrote it on the name field. But over all this is a great bit of work by you. 👍👍👍👍

  5. I started to add column headers in the upper right for Vermin, Minions, Boss, Weird, but decided to leave it all blank so it could be used in such a way or for notes or numbered/room by room encounters. How would you envision a minion counter? A box for tally marks, a series of 10 bubbles to fill (like a CRPG experience bar)?

  6. Spencer Salyer I made the later of 10 bubbles to fill

  7. 30x42 actually fit better (same aspect ratio), xp bubbles added unobtrusively on the bottom/middle of the table.

  10. Rich Glover, I found the rulebook a bit poorly laid out (or at least I didn't follow the logic of it, if it's there), but once I played through, with quite a bit of page turning, it's become more intuitive. And fun, of course. :-) Worth the $8, and I look forward to trying out the expansion and adventure modules.

  11. Spencer Salyer hello. Can I cross post this play sheet to my 4AD collection on G+ ? I would love to share you work for others.

  12. How does this look printed to a standard 8.5"X11" piece of paper?

  13. Hey Todd, it's laid out as 8.5x11 letter size paper with a half inch margin. I posted a picture earlier in this thread of the 20x28 grid. Here's one of the 30x42 grid.
