Running Mongoose Traveller, I did some more solo play tonight. Starting a patrol mission, and somebody meets an old friend. I used one of the encounters from "Old Flames" in Compendium 2 here.

ReplyDeleteI think it was even suggested as a way to play in the original rules.
In the original rules, several of the minigames as Robert Weaver over at "Ancient Faith in the Far Future" are very suitable for solitaire play, like subsector and ship design. For the most part, Classic Traveller is a series of interlocking minigames.
