There's been some talk about setting a Shared/Solo game, which I'm really excited by. We sort of defaulted to 30's style noir as an example, but I'm not sure if that's the best world. So, a POLL!
If you were to participate in a Shared Universe for your solo gaming, what genre would you most prefer?
(UPDATE: THE POLL IS OVER, AND SCI-FI HAS WON. SEE OTHER POSTS IN THE GROUP FOR #SHAREDSCIFI).
I'm good for all these categories, but if I have to pick one, I'll pick my favorite.
ReplyDeleteThat's the best way to approach it.
ReplyDeleteDamn. We've got a pretty close race here!
ReplyDeleteYup, figure let it run a bit and see how it all shakes out!
ReplyDeleteit's up to you, of course, but you might want to have a follow up poll between the highest and closest ones to pick a winner. Probably will get more commitment that way, as people who, for example, voted for Noir Mystery might not play Sci-fi if it wins, but might play Modern Supernatural if it wins in a runoff poll.
ReplyDeleteIs there a way to make these polls take multiple choices?
Alex Yari There are polls you can make on other sites that allow you to make multiple choice, like Strawpoll.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I was just wondering about G+ polls. So people don't have to go offsite if they don't want to. Thanks for the heads up, though!
ReplyDeleteYeah, and the google ones can only allow limited answers--I wanted to do "D&D-style fantasy" vs. "Grounded Fantasy" for Fantasy and "Cyberpunk" vs. "Space Exploration" vs. "Post-Apocalypse" for Sci-Fi, but I also wanted to keep it as easy as possible.
ReplyDeleteTodd Rokely Oh, yeah, definitely. There's many sub-genres.
ReplyDeleteYeah. If Sci-Fi was the clear favorite, I'd probably do a follow up poll, but 30's Noir is running neck and neck, and is just different enough that I think it might be best to give it a whirl. Assuming the numbers remain the same.
ReplyDeleteWe'll let this run through tonight. Hopefully everyone interested will get a change to chime in!
