I'm puttering around with another idea for an oracle. The basic closed questions part won't be too interesting, more of the same really.

But the open questions could have some legs. I stumbled upon a post about the Ars Magica system. I'm not sure if the rule system would be my cup of tea, but the magic system certainly got my attention. If you aren't familiar (I wasn't either a few hours ago) it's a free form system that combines a technique and a form to produce an wide array of effects.

My thoughts instantly went to solo oracles, and saw some possibilities. What if an oracle answered open questions combinations of basic concepts that created a wide variety of outcomes.
