Apologies for not updating my Mythic RPG videos. Aside from conflicts with work and school, I am taking a break from Mythic RPG. This is due to the overload I feel when I play Mythic. Referencing that 'solo gameplay triangle' I saw posted on the forum. I think I was feeling overloaded with trying to wear all three hats of the Author, Player, and Audience. I realized that I enjoy the Author and Audience role. Trying to be the Player too is very frustrating and jading (and weirdly sparks resentment of not having a gaming group to enjoy this process with?). Now, I am aware that I can simulate player/non-player character reactions with Mythic, but I currently enjoy the concept of making/using creatures that don't have well defined statistics.

I am currently back to the first rpg that I learned to play with: Tunnels and Trolls 7e. I'm enjoying being gameist with the solo adventures (being the player and audience) and playing across a pregenerated story. :)

I am also in the process is doing my first official GM-run game with another player in the coming days! :D

T&T has define statistics, for a simple rpg with really generic statistics I suggest Risus and its cliches...

or cough cough Bivius solo rpg.. ;)

  2. Well defined statistics = fully fleshed out character sheets that resemble the same effort I always enjoyed with Mythic. I can make a basic creature with nothing more than:

    Name
    Combat Dice
with or without Special Damage and Special Abilities

I deeply enjoy not having to 'overwhelm' myself with mechanics all the time and just enjoy the gaming experience.

I enjoyed the last time I have played Risus, but I do not feel its system is for me. Its cliche mechanic is not for me.

Thank you for commenting, Lino, I will make a note of Bivius. :)
