I'm jumping in feet first with 4AD. Find my play-through write-up at my blog to see how it turned out. I'm really enjoying this little game and reading others' adventures! And yes, I'm as mercenary as my characters, posting this for the possible reward! :-)
I'm really enjoying everyone's actual plays. I've printed out my 4AD in booklet format, but I have yet to play.
ReplyDeleteYes I decided not to use optional locked doors rule either. I imagine it bogs down play so much if you use it, and one of the best things about 4AD is the speed of the game.
ReplyDeleteDaniel Clark I think I might use it sporadically in a future dungeon, maybe with a 50/50 die roll to see if it's locked first, so that it's not an "all or nothing" thing. And even then once I've got more games under my belt, it might not slow things down too much.
