It's really good, I agree. I've gotten to the point in my game where my researcher characters are actively exploring specific aspects of the world, like where the planes are in relation to each other, or what is the essence of elemental energy. I love that I've thoroughly explored the world, yet still know so little about it.
Unless I'm using an established setting, I prefer to develop the world via Oracular responses as I go. Less world building up front means more actual game time.
