Hey, all! Im newish to the group, and im sorry if this was posted elsewhere, but are there any dnd5e adventures that i could run a brand new player through? I'm introducing a buddy to the game, but for the past 2 months, havent been able to get at minimum another player for phandelver or whatever. Thanks in advanced.

  1. In general, though, you could buff up the player character and/or tone down the encounters in LMoP or another 5e adventure. Possibly play an NPC companion alongside the player. I know there are some "solo" CYOA style adventures for 5e, but those might be limiting for a duet.

  2. If you’re open to running Phandelver for you’re friend one on one, this can help with a lot of the encounters by adjusting them down for you.

Just playing around with it, it looks like you might want to start your friend at level two or three so there’s an option for combat in the Goblin Den; looks pretty bad for a level 1 character on their own. Phandelver can be pretty lethal early on, and action economy is pretty important in 5e, but I think you two should be able to make it work. Just beware the new player propensity to try to kill everything...

    Good luck!
