I'm getting materials together to run a solo game, using M-Space (Mythras based RPG in space) and A Gift from Shamash as the adventure. One thing I am curious about is how to run an already written adventure module solo without spoiling the mysteries of the scenario?
my rule is Bivius Rule #14: "published adventures provide options A"
ReplyDeleteThanks for a lot of the advice. I'm going to give this a try and see how it works!
ReplyDeleteIf you play through it carefully, without glancing further down the page than you need to, it's not too hard. You'll still manage to see bits that ruin the mystery/surprise as a player, but if you don't let your PCs act on information they don't have (and, conversely, domake them act on their misconceptions), it should still work pretty well. I used to do this all the time with published Call of Cthulhu adventures.
