The Isle of Darastrix Part 3: Killing Time
Nothing too exciting happened in this session. The trio made it to Yeoweth Skjall without too much trouble around sundown. They passed a temple to Tiamat as they entered and Ssedt, feeling more than a little angry at the goddess for letting one of her children wipe out their mercenary group, contemplated relieving himself on the side of the temple. However after looking around and seeing too many witnesses going in and out of the temple, his sister Zeffira convinced him it would be better to hold it.
Without going into too much detail, they pretty much spent the next few hours wandering around town trying to find a decent inn to spend the night. There were three in town. One was too scuzzy to want to stay at, another was much more high class and expensive but didn't have any rooms available, and the other was just a little better than the first but they didn't have any rooms either.
Getting fed up with the whole situation, they decided to rough it for one more night. Rather than waste more rations, Ssedt decided to do a little hunting. He found a couple of constrictor snakes but failed to get the jump on them. They took off with one disappearing into the grass. Ssedt put an arrow in the other one, managing to piss it off enough that it turned on him and bit the ever living crap out of him. Ssedt finished it off with his swords, spotted the other one and put a couple of arrows into it before it could get away.
He rolled well harvesting the snakes and managed to get two good snake skins and enough meat to feed the party for the night. Zeffira had found a nice camping spot by a stream and rather than sleep they decided to spend the night just chatting and assessing their situation. In the morning they would use what money they had to try to get some better equipment, maybe selling off those scimitars and snake skins, and hopefully they could set up some long-term lodging at one of the inns. Then they would spend the rest of their time trying to find mercenary work.
