I read the excellent interview that MoonSylver shared with the creator of the Mythic GME. In the interview she mentioned modifying Mythic for her own use in a way that did away with the Fate Chart. I've combed through the Yahoo groups file section, as well as the the threads on the group board and can't find any other information on this. Does anyone know if it has been shared or published anywhere?

Well, the interview was relatively recent, and he mentioned it being in Variations 2, so I imagine it's not been published/posted yet

Somehow it didn't occur to me to tag Tana or to ask in the Mythic community which I'd just joined. Thanks guys, the way of the Google platform is strong in you.
ReplyDeleteIt's coming out in Variations II, which is making progress. I only ever use the chartless system myself now, and have been for about a year (my own games are the playtests). So, I'm happy with it now and I think it's ready to put out there.
ReplyDeleteAlso, just an FYI, I'm a "she" :) Pronoun confusion is understandable given my name history.
Thanks for letting me know. Now I have even more reason to look forward to a new Mythic book. And thanks for the heads up, I fixed the pronouns.
ReplyDeleteCool. I'm working on Mythic Second Edition, and a lot of what is new in Mythic is going into Variations II. I have all this material but I didn't want to just sit on it until second edition comes out, which is going to take a while since I want it to be a big, lavish book. So I'm putting that material in V2.
ReplyDeleteDo you think there will be a kickstarter (or other crowdfunding) for the second edition? I'd jump in line to support it, and if a nice hard cover edition happened to be a stretch goal, that wouldn't be a bad thing.
