ReplyDeleteyour posts have enough to pique my interest, so I picked up Monsterhearts. After reading through it, I can't shake the John Hughes breakfast club with monsters vibe off it. If I was going to do this, I think my home room would be detention, and you could pretty safely run with these tropes as monster NPCs (or PCs) and have a pretty huge vocabulary for running them:

if you're going to hunt down more tables for the school vibe, you should check out elf maids and octopi, the person that runs that blog did a huge series of random tables for school life in a boarding type academy a la hogwarts.
