With #SoloGamingAppreciationMonth2015 approaching, I want throw out an idea and see what people think.
I can make one page encounter maps, like the one in the photo. The map contains the locations of encounters and three icons for each encounter to help you describe it. I'm thinking of making one for SGAM2015 and would like many people to use it, interpret it however they would like to interpret it, use whatever system they would like to use, and then post an actual play. I'm interested in how the same inspiration would lead to different results. The plan would be to send physical copies to people who are interested, because getting mail is fun. I could be convinced to send a pdf, but that isn't as fun.
Thoughts? Interested?
In the photo, icons are from game-icons.net (Delapouite and Lorc) and the map is from Dyson Logos . I wrote the algorithm. This should look familiar to Noah Stevens .
This map doesn't look like it has to be a dungeon to me. Depending on how one decides to scale it, it could be a town in the old west, a part of one level of a space ship, a warehouse area - I could easily play fantasy, sci-fi, old west or noir with this without really stretching. Count me in on either, mailed or electronic, or both!
