I've been playing Scarlet Heroes solo. When I'm traveling, it just works great. I think perhaps I should pick up a hard copy, though, because flipping around on my phone (with moleskine in hand) is getting to be a pain. Does anyone know how large it is?

Cool. Would love to hear about what makes it great for you.
ReplyDeleteI have the hardback and it is 8 7/8" x 11 3/8". At 131 pages, it's only 1/2" thick.
ReplyDeleteroryb bracebuckle Personally, I like how quick everything is in it. Making a character takes less then 5 minutes, but still gives you enough to have a character rather than a game piece. It's also balanced entirely around there being only one PC, so you don't have to generate 3-4 guys (with all that entails) for the system to work and throw fair challenges at you. Making (non-hostile) NPC's is also quick and easy while still allowing for a good amount of variety to them.
ReplyDeleteI'm not too much into the OSR, and so never looked at SH seriously. Maybe I need get it...
ReplyDeleteAs soon as I finish this current adventure, I'll write it up and that will illustrate why I like it.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to it!
