How would you guys go about playing a giant PC? I'm a huge fan of mythical creatures, especially dragons, and I decided to play one in my first campaign. The campaign takes place in an alternate 21st century earth where powerful magical races (vampires, dragons, faries, werewolves, etc) attempt to overthrow and enslave modern humanity, with humanity retaliating with lethal force. Using GURPS:Dragons as a reference I created my pc. With this character being particularly strong (when compared to an average human, but not amongst other dragons) I decided to play just this single character instead of a pair or a party. At this point, a little world building is in order, since I'm not sure how using a character that is so big would work in practice. Basically, I'm asking if there is anything in particular I should be aware of when playing a powerful/giant pc.

  1. Keep in mind that - unless you're fighting in a massive cavern or similarly enormous terrain, your size is going to work against you.

Knocking down more than one or two support beams/stalagmites/whatever could have the whole place crashing down on you.

Of course, this sort of scene is perfect flavor for such a gaming choice!

  2. I GM'ed a D&D 5e game where I let the characters start extremely powerful, about level 40. They were killing CR 30 Monsters in 2-3 rounds! Even out of combat stuff was easy for them because of their very high modifiers.

Make sure you have some challenges tougher than you, gives you something to work towards!

  3. I think that this depends on the RPG rules which you are using rather than the solo engine.
GURPS or other crunchy systems have specific rules for huge creatures , simple narrative RPGs don't need specific rules for it
