It's October, and I'm thinking of starting up a new Vampire AP. But, I want to do something a bit different--incorporating Kevin Crawford's work from Scarlet Heroes into the game of personal horror.

  1. There's a new rules light vampire system released just yesterday

  2. Chad Robb Yeah, I'm familiar with Vengar's new work. The issue is--man, I run 1st Ed. It's already pretty rules lite (actually medium, but has the "just enough" crunch to keep me happy), and I LIKE the rules, and the later metaplot is pretty non-existent.

Like a lot of "old schoolers" I have a game I really, really like that came out like 30 years ago, and the damn thing just WORKS for me.

Really, neither Vengar's work nor V5 is exactly built for ME. And that's fine, no one's gonna make money off of my stingy wallet.

in case anyone else is thinking about running vampires.

  4. Chad Robb Fair enough! Would love to see what others do with it. It's certainly an interesting looking game. I'm not sure I'd want to run it, but I'd be down to play it if the option ever came up.

  5. VD6 is like Bivius but with a dice pool. Low prep, low crunch. Good for solo
