I have a question for the group:

When you are choosing a storyline to play, how much planning do you do? Do you choose a starting point and see where it takes you? Work out a series of places you want to visit and adventures that it would be fun to experience? Adapt somebody else's scenarios?

  2. Thank you to everybody. I've had a couple of false starts, and have realised that I have to change my setting and basic scenarios to something I'm a bit more comfortable with. I suspect I'm going to do best by setting a character, a starting point and something like a basic genre, and then improvising from there.

  3. It occurs to me that, really, all I need to start is a character, an initial setting, and a hook, and then I'm good to go.
