How long does your typical session lasts? I tend to run "social" games
(Vampire is my go to) and it tends to take me about an hour-hour and a
half before the narrative comes to a close, for good or ill.

That's one of the reasons I stopped blogging mine. It'd take me more time to write up the session than I'd spend playing. And in my limited free time, I'd rather play than write about playing :(
I have two speeds: two hour dedicated session or the tickle feed that lasts all day where I add stuff as I'm waiting for software builds, listening to boring meetings, or I have down time while I wait for other people. My style of play is a journal, so the equivalent of blogging and playing are the same for me. I tend to use Google docs or One Note so I have the game 'online' for whenever I want to pick it up.
My recent pace is here and there throughout the day. Typically, a scene will take about 15 minutes of focus, which is about how much downtime I have between activities.
I find that things are much like story writing for me. I sometimes need time in between scenes, unless the next scene is very close to the previous scene. The greater the difference, the more down time I need to refresh my creativity.
Usually around an hour, sometimes more, sometimes less. It also depends on how the story flows. If it just flows it can be longer. I usually play in the evenings when the kids are off to bed.
Because of how I do my blogging, a session could last either in the span of an hour or, more commonly, across multiple days.
