First, Nathan Rockwood 's GameMaster's Apprentice Deck is freaking sweet! Wife and I used it tonight in our HeroQuest: Glorantha game that we're running without a GM and it was incredible! Really streamlined the game and everything was super useful. We used the third Tension method (start @ 1, +1 for every Likely Odds question / reset upon random event) and employed the Sight/Sounds/Feel/Taste, Norse Runes, Elemental Runes, and Verb/Noun/Action sections of the cards. Awesome tool!

Linked below is the session report from tonight. Super fun!

  1. Nathan Rockwood the cards just rock! I remember when we generated the cattle raid from the north my wife said, "so do we need to rush off to avenge it?" And then we drew 3 off the difficultly number letting us know it wasn't that big of a deal... they also came into play on trying to find clues about things specifically the inscription... we rolled for the interpretation and then got 6 for difficulty, telling us it was only 60% of the true meaning allowing for more clarity.

Incredible! Thanks for all the nice comments all, and yes we're a lone wolf pack -- I like it Todd Zircher

  2. Jonathan Holen It's especially interesting and awesome to hear that it seems your use of the cards evolved parallel to mine, using the generators in new ways whenever it becomes potentially useful!

Thanks for both the kind words and the details; it's very rewarding to hear it! If you feel so inclined as to do me a favor, feel free to leave a rating or review on Drivethru; as a teacher by day, I have no advertising budget beyond word of mouth. But even if not, thanks again! :-)
