I'm gearing up to start a new sci-fi themed solo campaign using some homebrew rules. The premise is my character's spaceship is captured by pirates and he get's dumped off on some abandoned planet that has been ravaged by war. With nothing but the clothes on his back he has to survive long enough to find a way off the planet and get revenge on the pirates who left him there.

This is a quick and dirty map of the area he'll be spending most of his time in. He'll start in a random location and have to find food,  shelter, equipment, and weapons to fend off any local predators that might be roaming around. I'll be rolling for a lot of this stuff. I like the idea of not knowing what my character is in for. Could be giant sand worms out there or patrolling killbots.

  2. I've used it before but I found that it tends to make my games more complicated than they need to be, especially when using d6s. Maybe it's just the way I think but the results I come up with are always more detrimental than they probably should be which makes it much more difficult to get a positive outcome.

Sorry about the random ban. I've been having problems with people randomly popping in and posting in areas they shouldn't. The ban's been lifted.
