Gerard Nerval I would love to see the process behind that. I think trying to create a complete story as I play is a big hurdle to my focus on the game. If I separated the process out I could get more satisfaction from both exercises. Great advice!
Alex Yari and Brian Anderson , here is a link to a post I did of completely unedited notes in response to an old conversation in this group. It was for a dungeon delve, so possibly not as instructive as it could have been, but it was what I had to hand at the time. I'll see if I can find an even better example, but for now, here's this:
lino pang This is my experience. At first I caught myself asking Mythic questions that could/should be resolved by the RPG system of choice. (Using Mythic AS the RPG would solve this, BUT, I LIKE using systems like D&D, or D6!)
However, with practice this quickly sorted itself out, as since I like mechanical task resolution I'm always on the lookout for opportunities to roll some dice & make some checks. ;)
