Okay, it just hit me in the middle of doing my Fate Solo sequel that I realized why I like doing Solo RPGs.

The situation I'm in: I'm teamed up with Foghorn Leghorn as we're taking on a necromancer. Then it made me think of another time where, during a solo RPG where I had a team killing zombies with the Proton Packs from Ghostbusters that we got the War Doctor (Then called the John Hurt Doctor) to join our party.

Have you ever had a moment where you realized why you loved doing solo RPGs?

  1. Todd Zircher He does have a name (Paige), but yeah, in the game proper, he is just a nameless NPC.

  2. Not one solid moment per se, but just when things hit "the groove" & everything is working right & it feels like the story is just unfolding effortlessly & that it's all happening nearly on its own, & feels like a "real" world that I'm interacting with & discovering rather than just something I made up as a result of dice & charts & randomness. :)

  3. John Fiore Indeed, which brings me to another thing that I love: getting handed a bunch of random elements from disparate sources & then fitting them all together & finding that somehow they magically fit! (or muscling them together until they fit!)
