Can someone post a Discord invite without the google url shortening?

Not sure if the change is live for everyone yet, or if it's being phased in, but the Reddit redesign just kicked in for me and now there's card-based subreddit view and direct-to-Reddit image uploads (I think that second one is new).

In any case, positive changes. Card based view will look familiar to those who enjoyed the Google+ experience.

(Side note, I'm on the solo board over there as u/BandanaRob, and try to be relatively active in the replies.)

So, like many others, I've made a MeWe account and started checking things out over there. We have a group coming together, and having some of the features of several different social networks under one umbrella is neat.

But unless there's some way to let outsiders view our Solo RPG group there without making a MeWe account, it's fatally flawed. It's a tough sell to ask someone to make yet another social media account before they can even look at the group dynamic and see if it's worth managing another online presence.

I'd like to renew the appeal to migrate to Reddit. As another user said, we've found new blood there before as people discovered solo RPGs for the first time and got directed to G+. Staking a claim on Reddit would make drawing people in from that population even smoother.

Support or dissent welcome in the comments. Help me understand the pros and cons of moving to Reddit.

Sorry I've been very quiet the last few days. I have a huge stack of gamebooks and Solo-RPGs to play through, However I have been working on a little side project which I'm quite excited about.

Sorry I've been very quiet the last few days. I have a huge stack of gamebooks and Solo-RPGs to play through, However I have been working on a little side project which I'm quite excited about.

Its basically a hybrid ruleset for Four Against Darkness to allow you to run published Dungeons & Dragons Adventures with a party of four.

I will go into a little more detail when I have documented it all a little better (its just loads of post-it notes on my work desk at the moment!!)

Its exciting stuff! and with an open mind and some basic conversions you too can play official (and unofficial) DnD modules solo! I've actually been testing it with Tales from the Yawning Portal and also a third party publication called Adventures in Middle Earth!

I was going to post it on the main blog that I use for my other tabletop wargaming posts (the Nordic Weasel company blog basically).

Would it be okay to share the solo play specific posts to this community or would you lot prefer if it was a separate blog?

I'd sooner avoid two separate blogs, but at the same time, I don't want to seem like I am trying to spam things.
